COMFORT from SPIRIT

1 Peter 1:3-4

King James Version

3 Blessed be the God and Father

of our Lord Jesus Christ,

which according to his abundant mercy

hath begotten us again unto a lively hope

by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4 To an inheritance incorruptible,

and undefiled, and that fadeth not away,

reserved in heaven for you,

It remains a shock to many, when a loved one passes on.

One day they're here; another day they're gone.

Sometimes, even within the same day, or hour.

Such is the fragility of life.

When you've known even one such death, that alerts you.

There can be no taking granted of people anymore.

You must love them, with all you've got.

You must cherish them, as if each day was your last with each other.

We don't really know who goes first.

Why not just love, as JESUS would have you love?

With no conditions.

As I go through my own grief, I review how I managed through all that.

Especially in the last four years, since 2021.

And I look to how it has been for me.

A born again watchman.

SPIRIT led me to these excerpts --

On 18 June 2024, through "COPING with GRIEF":

"It's been 32 months for me now.

How did I cope?

By writing.

Knowing I was shattered, SPIRIT led me to create a blog.

For myself, as well as for everyone going through grief:"

"CONQUERING the LAST enemy"

"SPIRIT also made me create this blog you're reading now.

In quietude, I found my peace.

In JESUS, I found my healing.

In Scripture, I found my clarity.

In GOD, I found my strength.

In SPIRIT, I found my truth."

"Another blog SPIRIT inspired me to create, for comfort is this:"

"Comforting the afflicted"

That's THREE blogs the HOLY SPIRIT inspired me to create:

28 November 2021: "CONQUERING the LAST enemy"

1 December 2021: The GOSPEL on HEALING"

5 May 2023: "Comforting the afflicted"

Where I was able to explore avenues for healing, through GOD's WORD.

We all dearly miss those who have gone ahead of us.

But we shall see them again, during the Rapture.

The "dead in Christ" shall go up first:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

King James Version

16 For the Lord himself

shall descend from heaven

with a shout,

with the voice of the archangel,

and with the trump of God:

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,

to meet the Lord in the air:

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

That's why it's important we look to JESUS for everything.

To get right with Him now.

John 16:7-8

King James Version

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth;

It is expedient for you that I go away:

for if I go not away,

the Comforter will not come unto you;

but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

8 And when he is come,

he will reprove the world of sin,

and of righteousness,

and of judgment:

We need to be born again.

So we, too, can meet JESUS when GOD says it's "time" for believers to be with His Son.

Today is our best day to do so.

Pray to be born again, and all will be made clear.

SPIRIT will teach you everything you need to know.

Your days will be glorious, knowing you're on the right path.

Further, JESUS commanded we be born again.

That we may be "born of the Spirit":

John 3:3-8

King James Version

3 Jesus answered and said unto him,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4 Nicodemus saith unto him,

How can a man be born when he is old?

can he enter the second time

into his mother's womb, and be born?

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

8 The wind bloweth where it listeth,

and thou hearest the sound thereof,

but canst not tell whence it cometh,

and whither it goeth:

so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

It's the only way we can understand ways of the SPIRIT.

And ways of the SPIRIT are GOD's ways.

Moments of PEACE

Matthew 11:28-30

King James Version

28 Come unto me,

all ye that labour and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you,

and learn of me

for I am meek and lowly in heart:

and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy,

and my burden is light.

We all need moments of peace.

Of rest.

Of serenity.

Of quiet joy.

Of quiet time alone.

Of not being saddled with the world.

Or of the world's demands.

We all need those quiet moments.

Where we are sure of GOD's love.

Where we are sure to be safe.

Where no one will crash into our peace.

Where no gadgets ring, or blare.

Where no screens flash.

Where no one demands a "like".

Where we can simply close our eyes.

Knowing all is okay.

That the GOOD LORD watches over us.

For He knows we are His.

Sanity requires such quiet moments.

Away from society's norms.

Away from people's demands.

Away from the world's chaos.

Away from the world's noise.

Away from all the lies, and deception.

May you have such a secret place.

Where you can be left alone.

Even for just a moment.

And you can just be you.

With GOD watching over you.

As a Father would, to a child.

With you feeling safe, and secure.

Untouched by the world's evil.

There is such a place, you know.

Let the born again be your guide.

Swim in those safe, warm waters.

Where no sharks hover.

Where no sharp stones can cut you.

Where no depth alarms you.

Where no ambush awaits.

We all long for such a place.

A room.

A state.

A condition.

I'm fortunate to have my own, big room.

Where I can just work with GOD.

Thinking about all of you.

And how I can serve you best.

All according to GOD's will.

And when I think such thoughts, peace comes over me.

Like warm, sea foam.

Like how GOD showed up once.

So many tides ago.

Soothing my tired spirit.

A dream, but it felt so real.

Forever imprinted upon my heart.

In the consciousness of my soul.

In the quietness of my being.

That's how GOD wanted me to remember Him.

"God as Warm Sea Foam"

COPING with GRIEF

Psalm 147:3

King James Version

3 He healeth the broken in heart,

and bindeth up their wounds.

It is a rare person who has not known grief.

Who has not known loss.

Who has not know the passing of a loved one.

Who has not known sadness.

Most of us have gone through it.

Sometimes, many times over.

Where did you get your comfort from?

Who comforted you?

How did you get through those tough times?

Because GOD predestined my life, He prepared me for it.

We were all predestined for something.

It is your duty to know what GOD has for you.

It's only the person who refuses to acknowledge GOD, who gets surprised, angry, or betrayed.

GOD is merciful.

He prepares us for things.

We can only get through grief by believing in JESUS.

By acknowledging the power of GOD, through Him.

By acknowledging His power over our lives.

By being grateful for all grace given.

Without grace, grief would make us perish.

It's been 32 months for me now.

How did I cope?

By writing.

Knowing I was shattered, SPIRIT led me to create a blog.

For myself, as well as for everyone going through grief:

"CONQUERING the LAST enemy"

With every article, was a new discovery.

That blog is RICH in COMFORT.

SPIRIT also made me create this blog you're reading now.

In quietude, I found my peace.

In JESUS, I found my healing.

In Scripture, I found my clarity.

In GOD, I found my strength.

In SPIRIT, I found my truth.

Another blog SPIRIT inspired me to create, for comfort is this:

"Comforting the afflicted"

Sorrow is affliction.

Only through JESUS -- the WORD -- did I manage to survive.

Of course, family, friends, and relatives who cared, helped GREATLY.

We all need the love from everyone around us.

In the same manner, these are the people we need to look after, too.

We may have "lost" others, but there's still each other to care for.

That's what I remind myself constantly.

Before grief takes hold of me too much.

There are others to care for.

LOVE is ALWAYS give, and take.

Even, as in GOD's books, JESUS merely GAVE.

In His desire to save us all.

In conforming with GOD's wishes.

My baby sister remains in my heart forever.

She was my partner in writing.

Actually, there were THREE of us.

JESUS, my sister, and myself.

We had a wonderful time writing each day.

GOD gave me two more bonus years with her.

Mercifully, after He made me born again in 2019.

Of course, I envisioned we'd have each other forever.

But that will come, too.

She is the other half of me, which has gone on to CHRIST.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

King James Version

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth

as it was:

and the spirit shall return unto God

who gave it.

2 Corinthians 5:8

King James Version

8 We are confident, I say,

and willing rather to be absent from the body,

and to be present with the Lord.

How can the body's spirit not go back to GOD?

It was He Who gave us the "breath of life":

Genesis 2:7

King James Version

7 And the Lord God formed man

of the dust of the ground,

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;

and man became a living soul.

I do look forward to this day that JESUS promised:

Revelation 21:1-3

King James Version

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:

for the first heaven and the first earth

were passed away;

and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city,

new Jerusalem,

coming down from God out of heaven,

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying,

Behold,

the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them,

and they shall be his people,

and God himself shall be with them,

and be their God.

Revelation 21:4

King James Version

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death,

neither sorrow,

nor crying,

neither shall there be any more pain:

for the former things are passed away.

Revelation 21:5

King James Version

5 And he that sat upon the throne said,

Behold,

I make all things new.

And he said unto me,

Write:

for these words are true

and faithful.

Revelation 21:6-7

King James Version

6 And he said unto me,

It is done.

I am Alpha and Omega,

the beginning and the end.

I will give unto him that is athirst

of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things;

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

Revelation 21:22-26

King James Version

22 And I saw no temple therein:

for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb

are the temple of it.

23 And the city had no need of the sun,

neither of the moon, to shine in it:

for the glory of God did lighten it,

and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24 And the nations of them which are saved

shall walk in the light of it:

and the kings of the earth do bring

their glory and honour into it.

25 And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:

for there shall be no night there.

26 And they shall bring

the glory and honour of the nations into it.

Don't you look forward to such a day?

Now you see why Scripture gives me comfort.

All the help you need can be found in CHRIST.

He is the VERY EMBODIMENT of SCRIPTURE.

His work, and gift to us, has been prophesied.

Isaiah 61:1-3

King James Version

61 The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;

because the Lord hath anointed me

to preach good tidings unto the meek;

he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives,

and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,

and the day of vengeance of our God;

to comfort all that mourn;

3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,

to give unto them beauty for ashes,

the oil of joy for mourning,

the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

that they might be called trees of righteousness,

the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

The Bible, which happens to be JESUS,  offers you real comfort.

But you cannot understand its treasures, unless you're born again.

Only by being born again can the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD teach you.

And explain everything to you.

As He did, with me.

Thus, all the blogs.

GROW in GRACE as you GRIEVE.

TRUST GOD, with all your heart.

LOVE HIM, with all you've got.

He gave us His SON, and SPIRIT.

To save, and comfort us.

JESUS is there for all of us.

We are never alone.

We are never lonely.

We are never forgotten.

Neither shall we forget, all who have gone on.

Ahead of us.

My baby sister's work is done.

Mine has just begun.

Precisely why I'm still here.

PREPARATION for pain

Proverbs 3:5-6

King James Version

5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;

and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge him,

and he shall direct thy paths.

We have a merciful GOD.

He prepares us for what is to come.

He gives us strength for the journey.

These I found, since GOD made me born again.

Today was another day for remembrance.

SPIRIT and I just finished an article:

"COMPLEX to SIMPLE"

As I edited the material, He brought me back to a 2021 article we wrote:

"The TRUE BORN AGAIN"

It was written simply, and beautifully.

I was to use it as a link for the first article.

As I re-read that post, I realized it was written on 3 October 2021.

I was not to know that 12 days after, my beloved baby sister would pass on.

So, it presses upon my heart again.

The tears wanting to flow.

Every now and then, the same thing occurs.

Reminding me of the articles we wrote before she passed on.

All articles always involved SPIRIT, baby sis, and I.

We were a team.

I was just two years into being saved then.

Those two years were busy years of writing, and caring for family.

I was to be tested.

JESUS took my baby sis back home.

Would I be overcome by grief?

Would I keep on?

Would I carry the torch for JESUS, baby sis, and I?

Would my shattered heart be put back together?

Would I stay on the path?

What do you think happened?

Was I a true born again?

By the GRACE of GOD, by the LOVE of JESUS, and love for the rest of my family, I kept on.

It wouldn't do to fall apart when I had other members to think of.

I was not the only one grieving.

I could not quit the task given me.

I held on to JESUS:

Luke 9:23

King James Version

23 And he said to them all,

If any man will come after me,

let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily,

and follow me.

I carry that cross each day.

We created more blogs.

I saved my sister's spot in our room.

Why change a beautiful thing?

It's as if she's still there.

Even as I know she's with JESUS now.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

King James Version

7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was:

and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.

2 Corinthians 5:8

King James Version

8 We are confident, I say,

and willing rather to be absent from the body,

and to be present with the Lord.

Only through JESUS am I able to keep on.

GOD made me born again on time.

If He didn't, how would I survive the pain?

He gave me enough preparation for pain.

He gave me SPIRIT, to teach me Scripture.

He gave me Scripture, for healing.

He gave me a premonition, a month before.

He gave me a vision of angels, a week before.

He gifted me with my precious baby sister.

I can only thank GOD, continually.

GENTLE reassurance from the LORD

in peace, and sleep:

for thou, Lord,

only makest me dwell

in safety.

Or healing?

Who can comfort us with His words?

And with His gentle presence?

Only JESUS can.

Let these verses give you the comfort, and reassurance, you need.

We all need that gentle reassurance from the WORD of GOD.
